Accident

Issue ages 0 to 75; Standard Life AccidentGuard is a 24-Hour Accident Medical Expense plan. AccidentGuard features include guaranteed renewable to age 80, seven plans to choose from, pays regardless of any other insurance, and covers accidents that happen at home, at work, at play or while traveling ~ 24-hour coverage.

Depending on selected plan; Medical Expense Benefit Amount ranges from $1,000 to $4,000; Air & Ground Ambulance Benefit ranges from $2,500 to $10,000; Accidental Death Benefit ranges from $5,000 to $10,000, and the Maximum Accidental Dismemberment Benefit ranges from $5,000 to $20,000. Accidental Dismemberment Benefit applies only to the Primary Insured. Coverage is available for an Individual, Individual and Spouse, Individual and Child(ren), a Family or Child(ren) only.   

Medical Expense Benefit includes outpatient and inpatient covered expenses; Air and Ground Ambulance Benefit pays for covered expense for ground or air ambulance transportation due to an accidental injury. State-specific rates can apply.  

Cancer

Issue ages 20 to 84; Standard Life offers a First Diagnosis Cancer policy; upon first diagnosis of internal cancer or malignant melanoma a lump-sum benefit amount is payable. Lump-sum Benefit Amount: $10,000 to $50,000 for an Individual, Single Parent, or a Family. Each Insured is limited to one First Diagnosis Cancer Benefit under the terms of this policy.  

Issue ages 20 to 60; Monthly Benefit Amount: $2,500 or $5,000 for Optional Benefits for Chemotherapy, Radiation and Medicines. This benefit expires at age 70. Specified disease coverage is included.

Home Health Care

Issue ages 40 to 85; Savers Advantage Home Health Care policy offered by Standard Life is designed for beneficiaries who prefer to seek and receive care in the comfort of their home versus entering a nursing home.

Benefits under this policy are payable regardless of any other coverage, including Medicare. Savers Advantage Home Health Care is available with two different levels of coverage: Classic and Deluxe. An Extra Benefit Riders are also available with additional coverage options.

General benefit highlights for Classic and Deluxe are Home Health Care: Payment up to the daily maximum benefit, subject to eligibility conditions; Home Health Care Aide: Daily benefit, subject to eligibility conditions, for each day services are provided immediately following a hospital confinement of not less than three days; and Prescription Drug: Per prescription benefit for both generic and brand scripts limited to the maximum benefit amount per policy year.

Extra Benefit Riders are Annual Physical Examination: Payment per the schedule amount if policyholder has a physical exam performed by a physician more than 12 months after the rider effective date. Same benefit applies in each succeeding 12-month period; Accidental Death and Dismemberment: Benefits per schedule amount for an accidental death or an accidental bodily injury resulting in loss of finger, toe, hand, arm, foot, leg, or sight; Home Medical Equipment: Payment up to the maximum per benefit period when home medical equipment is required, specifically related to a sickness or injury for which Home Health Care benefits are paid. Covered home medical equipment limited to: Mobility assistance, Transfer aids, Bathroom safety, Home accommodations, and Personal medical equipment.

Term Life

Issue ages 45 to 75; Savers Legacy is a guaranteed-premium 5-year level term life plan for seniors. Rates increase at 5-year term renewals and renewal rates are guaranteed at the time the policy is issued. The insured has an option of a whole life conversion policy issued at age 80, without evidence of insurability.

Minimum Face Amount: No minimum face; at least a $15.00 monthly premium is required. Maximum Face Amount: $100,000 (ages 45 to 69); $50,000 (ages 70 to 75).

No medical exam needed, acceptance is based on answers to simple health questions and other information provided or given permission to obtain. No waiting period, covered for the full benefit amount from the effective date of coverage provided all premiums are paid when due.

This coverage comes with a “living benefit”. If diagnosed with a terminal illness and given a life expectancy of 12 months or less, half of the benefit amount can be accessed. Benefits are guaranteed not to decrease, even if health declines, until insurance ends at age 80. 

Whole Life ~ Final Expense

Issue ages 0 to 49 (Age Last Birthday); Face Amount: $3,000 to $50,000; Secure Advantage Whole Life plan for seniors offers smaller face amounts. Optional Accidental Death Benefit Rider is available depending on age; ADB maximum amount $10,000.

Issue ages 50 to 85 (Age Last Birthday); Minimum Face Amount: $5,000; Maximum Face Amount: $25,000 (ages 50 to 80); $15,000 (ages 81 to 85). Secure Advantage Final Expense Life plan for seniors includes Point-of-Sale Application Processing. The POS application processing feature of the Secure Advantage program relies completely on ‘yes’ and ‘no’ answers to the health questions. This program uses application form, MIB report, prescription history, and telephone verification call with applicant to determine if ‘approved’ or ‘declined’.
