NCC has helped thousands of independent insurance agents by providing the best support in the industry.
The Allstate Corporation is an American insurance company, headquartered in Northfield Township, Illinois, near Northbrook since 1967. Founded in 1931 as part of Sears, Roebuck and Co., it was spun off in 1993 but still partially owned by Sears, until it became completely an independent company in June 1995.
In 1950, Davis Ellis was a vice president and general sales manager at Allstate and was on a committee to create a new marketing slogan for the company. His daughter, Joan, had recently been sick and was hospitalized. The doctor told her parents not to worry. "You're in good hands," he told them. Sure enough, Joan recovered soon after.
As the team brainstormed, Davis recalled how that doctor's words helped relieve his family's stress. He decided that was how Allstate customers should feel after a car accident or house fire – like an expert had arrived to make things OK.
Ever since, the Good Hands promise has been at the heart of Allstate's advertising. Employees and agents still use that phrase as a reminder of their commitment to keeping customers well-protected from life's uncertainties.
Allstate Corporation acquired National General Holdings Corp in 2021. In 2022, Allstate announced that National General Accident & Health’s individual healthcare business will become Allstate Health Solutions, a brand that will give consumers a sense that Allstate will provide them with help, support, and assistance for their healthcare coverage needs.
For over 90 years, Allstate has been helping people protect their businesses, life, homes, and vehicles. We’ve been a valued and reliable partner, providing protection for the unexpected bumps along the road of life. Now, as Allstate Health Solutions, we’re here to help protect your health too.
The new name puts the power of the Allstate brand behind important individual coverage offerings typically sold to consumers outside of the workplace, like short-term medical, dental, and Medicare supplement insurance – all of which minimize a customer’s medical out-of-pocket costs.
