Pre-AEP Checklist

1

Be in Contracting Process ASAP - June 15th

Some carriers have restrictions on when you can contract, and it's imperative to have the process started in enough time to complete the following items.

2

Complete Certifications - Starting Mid June

Complete your AHIP certification as soon as it becomes available—NCC’s AHIP FAQs and Certification Central are great resources for support. After AHIP, move on to completing all major carrier certifications. For help with specific requirements, reach out to your Sales Support Representative.

3

Create a Marketing and Lead Generation Plan - July 1

Start ordering compliant marketing materials, scheduling mail campaigns, coordinating with lead vendors, and updating your website with AEP messaging. Segment your client list—renewals, potential switchers, and LIS/Extra Help—and send a compliant pre-AEP letter or email. Be sure to schedule check-in calls with top clients to offer personalized support.

4

Technology Setup

Update your CRM with AEP lead and client tags, and test all quoting and enrollment platforms. Contact your Sales Development Manager to access NCC’s Enrollment Central and review each carrier’s e-apps. Ensure your phone system can handle increased volume, and link your calendar to your scheduling tools for easy appointment booking.

5
