Humana AHIP Certification 2020 Explained

Before you can sell Humana’s Medicare Advantage and PDP plans, you need to pass AHIP and two training courses: one focused on the basics of Medicare, and the other focused on Humana’s products.

  • Passing score for Humana’s certs is 85%. Passing score for AHIP is 90%.
  • If AHIP is failed in 3 attempts, Humana can’t be offered and no renewals for the next plan year!
  • If re-certification is failed or misses the deadline there are serious consequences! See below.
  • AHIP is required for both certification and recertification.
  • AHIP cost is $175, or $125 if using the link from Humana’s agent portal.
  • You have 45 minutes to complete the Humana test. That’s up from 35 minutes last year.
  • 2020 Certs will cover the remainder of 2019.
